LG showed off its 18″ flexible OLED display this week at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.
It’s the first OLED display of this size that you can roll up like a piece of paper. LG hinted at their progress on such a display in 2014, and sources say it may be available for consumers very soon.
The LG Model “R30” OLED screen has a high-definition resolution of 1200 x 810 and can be safely rolled up to a diameter of roughly 6cm. The display also allows light to pass through it at a transmittance rate of around 30% -this means that much like some HUDs, you’ll be able to see objects that lie behind the screen.
